Laura Ell, MA has a 25-year successful track record of experience in the sustainable tourism, spa, and wellness industry. She helps design and promote travel for seniors, eco-minded adventurers and wellness seeekers. She holds a Master’s Degree from Royal Roads University where she completed her thesis research on Codes of Conduct for Indigenous-inspired Spa Therapies which was nominated for the Governor-General of Canada’s Academic Award! Laura has a knack for helping spa tourism destinations and operations including wellness resorts, spa resorts, and day spas to become more successful resulting in more heads in beds (hotel or spa massage tables) and butts on plane seats to realize measurable, tangible success which improves the local economy.
Laura is currently a part-time faculty teaching in Mount Royal University’s Health and Physical Education Degree. She has also been a consultant for the past 16 years to help support the success of Jungle Bay Resort & Spa which was named #3 Yoga Retreat in the World by Condé Nast Traveler and #10 Ecolodge in the world by Forbes.
